Japan enters into the final of the TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup 2021 after defeating Malaysia 3-1 in the second semi-final tie.
Lee Zii Jia gave a strong performance today to get the better of the Japanese team captain Kento Momota and stole the solitary point from Japan.
Misaki Matsutomo and Mayu Matsumoto won the fourth match of the tie (women’s doubles) to take Japan to the final.
This is the third time Japan has entered the final in the history of the Sudirman Cup, but they have never won it. They were defeated by their opponents of tomorrow, China in 2015 and 2019.
