China wins the Sudirman Cup for the 12th time after defeating Japan 3-1 in the final today at Vantaa, Finland.
Japan’s captain and world no. 1 Kento Momota failed to deliver yet again, losing to Shi Yuqi in three games. Incidentally, Momota had also lost to Shi Yu Qi in the final of the 2019 Sudirman Cup as well.
Malaysia and Korea both shared third place in the tournament.
