Carolina Marin is known for her loud celebrations and more importantly her huge achievements. She single handedly ended the long reign of Asian dominance in the women’s singles badminton. Currently Carolina Marin is using the Yonex Duora Z Strike. This is an extremely stiff racket with a relatively smaller head size. Due to these reasons, the sweet spot is smaller on this racket as compared to other rackets from Yonex – making it a little less user friendly. However if you get adjusted to the racket, it is an extremely powerful racket.
YONEX NANORAY Z SPEED
2016 & Before
Back then Carolina Marin was using the Nanoray Z Speed. She has used both the neon colour and the orange colour. This racket was used by Tan Boon Heong to set a world record (unofficial) smash speed of 493 kmph. The Duora Z Strike and Nanoray Z speed feels the same in certain aspects. This might be the reason why Marin chose Duora Z Strike after using the Z Speed for such a long time
