An Indonesian women’s doubles player and an Indian team entourage member tested positive in their PCR swab tests at the ongoing Orleans Masters. Their close contacts, the doubles partner of the Indonesian player and an Indian player respectively, have also been forced to withdraw from the tournament.

Retests of positive results are not a part of the protocol followed at the tournament. They will be quarantined in their hotel room for at least 10 days.

French law prohibits BWF from naming the players due to privacy concerns. Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) has, however, independently identified the two players to be Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.
