Lin Dan’s name has not been submitted for the Chinese National Championships and he is not likely to participate in the championships which will take place from 17 April to 2 May in Zhengzhou city.
After his retirement last year, there were some indications that Lin Dan would be playing in the national championships this year. He has won the national men’s singles titles four times.
All players are required to take a physical fitness test to participate in the national championships. Lin Dan has not registered his name for the test. There is, however, still some speculation that Lin Dan might participate in the tournament directly without giving any physical test.
