Women’s doubles player world No. 1 Sayaka Hirota was discharged from the hospital yesterday after two weeks of rehabilitation following a successful surgery on her right knee.
Hirota shared the good news by saying “The surgery was successfully done on August 6th! I was worried about my first surgery, but I am relieved that it was completed successfully.
“Thank you to the hospital doctors and nurses for their kindness.I think something tough is waiting for me, but I’ll do the best I can!!”
Her doubles partner Yuki Yukushima commented, “Hirota, congratulations on your discharge! I was surprised you were able to walk.”
