Rexy Mainaky, departing head coach of Thailand, will join Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) as the deputy coaching director from December 1st.

BAM president Tan Sri Norza Zakaria welcomed Mainaky by saying, “We’re delighted that Rexy will be joining the coaching team… Rexy is a good and experienced coach with a stellar track record. He will be given specific key performance indicators to immediately revitalise and further motivate our young doubles.” (Source: The Star)

Rexy Mainaky has worked with BAM in the past from 2005 to 2012. 

The famous pair of Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong, who won the 2006 Asian Games, are often referred to as products of Mainaky’s coaching.
