Going into the final of the Fuzhou China Open, WS World no. 1 Nozomi Okuhara expresses that she will approach the match with simpler tactics tomorrow.

Speaking to BWF, Okuhara said, “I’m not happy right now but I will try to win tomorrow.”

A few days back, Okuhara tweeted out saying that being world no 1 without winning any title this season feels incomplete.

So far in 2019, Nozomi Okuhara has competed 5 finals and has lost all 5 finals.

“Every time I want to get the title, but maybe I think too much. Maybe I should approach it with lesser expectations and not focus on winning the title. I will try a simpler approach” – Okuhara added.

She faces home favorite Chen Yufei tomorrow in the final. Okuhara leads 4-3 in the head to head record against Chen Yufei.
