Yonex is set to release the lightest racket in its production history – the Astrox 00 (Double Zero). It weighs just 68 grams.
The Astrox 00 will hit retail stores in mid-February 2020.
According to Yonex, the product is suitable for players with intermediate skill. The racket is aimed to increase ease of play and give more preparation time for shot making.
Astrox 00 will follow the specifications of the Astrox series – a shaft made out of New dimensional graphite material (Namd), Rotational Generator System, Isometric head shape etc.
Judging by the technical specifications, the racket will be more suitable for doubles play. It is highly doubtful that any top level player will use this racket as it will lack smash power.
