Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu take gold in the women’s doubles event at Tokyo 2020 by defeating China’s Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan in the final.

With this win, Polii and Rahayu wrote history today as Indonesia became only the second country to win gold in all five events/disciplines in the history of badminton at the Olympic Games.

It has been a roller coaster ride for the 33-year-old Polii. She made amends for her disqualification from the London 2012 Olympics by defeating the Chinese pair of Chen/Jia with a score of 21-19, 21-15.
