Viktor Axelsen felt a slight sprain in his ankle at 16-18 in the third game of the semi-final yesterday.

After the match, Axelsen said, “I think I moved forward to make a tap (at the net) or something like that. Maybe I slipped a little bit.

“I’m a little sore right now now, but we will tape it up tomorrow and we’ll be ready…This is the England final. I will do whatever it takes.”

When asked what he expects Lee Zii Jia will bring to the final, Axelsen replied with a smile. “No, I don’t wanna say too much.”
