I hope the product can help a lot of people who have stomach issues. Our focus is on lactic acid bacteria, and it is both a supplement to the athlete as well as the general citizen.

Viktor Axelsen’s VA logo is a familiar symbol to many badminton fans. Previously, it was only associated with VA Collection (apparel line) and VA Academy (Youtube channel). VA Health is the latest addition to the VA brand.

VA Health is a new company which focuses on improving health and lifestyle through probiotic food supplements. VA Health’s line of “superfoods” has been developed in close connection with Biocare Copenhagen A/S – a division of DSM (global leading provider of nutritional solutions).

The production side of the business is being handled by a third-party company in China. Axelsen can speak fluent Mandarin and has a huge fanbase in mainland China; he has collaborated with many Chinese companies in the past as well.

The supplements will start rolling out in January 2021 and will be available for purchase on va-health.com.

“It is an area with enormous potential and I hope the product can help a lot of people who have stomach issues. Our focus is on lactic acid bacteria, and it is both a supplement to the athlete as well as the general citizen. The product will be available worldwide.

“When you travel a lot, you quickly find out how much your gastrointestinal flora means to the immune system. And then it’s just an important part of being able to optimize an important point in a healthy lifestyle as an athlete,” Axelsen told BT.

The 27-year-old is deeply involved in his project which has apparently been in the pipeline for several years now. He hopes to devote his time to the project after he retires as a badminton player.
