The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has notified the Thomas and Uber Cup participating teams that they will be exempted from the 14-day quarantine upon entry to Denmark. The notification was sent through an email from BWF to participating countries, said the Secretary-General of the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) Kenny Goh as reported by myallsports.com.

Goh said, “According to the e-mail sent by the BWF, teams going to Denmark to participate in the competition will be exempted from the isolation procedure. This is the easiest and the fastest method.”

The commitment from BWF and the Danish government in holding the team championship is evident from this relaxation of restrictions. This will further clear doubts of cancellations of the Thomas and Uber Cup which is scheduled for October 3 – 11 in Aarhus, Denmark.
