Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is reportedly signing a new contract with badminton equipment manufacturer giant YONEX this week. The news is based on a report by the New Straits Times from an undisclosed source.
This would bring an end to the 6-year, RM60 million (14.5 million USD) contract with VICTOR which was signed in 2015. Before 2015, BAM was partnered with Yonex for 15 years.
If the deal goes through, it will also mean that Yonex will be the main sponsor of the Malaysia Open (May 25-30).
