Muhammad S Fikri: “It still feels like a dream. If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up. We had difficult days last year, this year we want to bounce back. Hopefully, this will be a good start for us.”

All England debutants Bagas Maulana and Muhammad S Fikri booked their place in the All England final after defeating world no. 1s Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Gideon yesterday in the semi-finals.

Fikri was instrumental in the win producing some exhilarating badminton on the way. He was able to challenge and even get the better of Sukamuljo in the net game.

Fikri and Bagas will be facing their seniors Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan in an all Indonesian final today.

This will be the 10th time there has been an all Indonesian final at All England in the men’s doubles discipline.
