Lee Chong Wei predicts that the competition in men’s singles is going to intensify even more in the near future.
He told The Star, “It’s going to be exciting for sure. It will be a more open affair instead of the usual suspects. Axelsen has done well and was the most consistent throughout the pandemic.
“But I think Momota, Yuqi, Zii Jia, (Anders) Antonsen, (Anthony) Ginting, (Chou) Tien-Chen will also be among the contenders in the coming tournaments and ultimately, the World Championships.”
He also added the players who can maintain a good physical condition in the packed BWF schedule will have the upper hand.
