All England champion Melati Daeva Oktavianti continues to prepare for the Asian leg of tournaments even though PBSI is yet to give a green light to compete in the Asian leg of tournaments.

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has not confirmed the host for the three tournaments. There are reports from various media houses, which say that Thailand might be the host.

Melati told Suara that she was a little puzzled as her partner Praveen Jordan looked quite afraid of travelling abroad during the current pandemic situation. She joked that she might need a new partner to compete since Praveen was scared.

She said, “He is very afraid, almost paranoid, he does not want to leave…If he doesn’t want to go, what can I do? Who would be my partner?” (laughs)
