In March, Lee Zii Jia beat world no. 1 Kento Momota in the quarter-finals of the Yonex All England Championships 2021.

The two are set to clash in the Sudirman Cup which starts on the 26th, as both Malaysia and Japan are in Group D of the draw.

Lee Zii Jia told The Star, “After the Olympics meltdown, he (Momota) will surely want to play to his true form and that’s what excites me.

“Momota was far from his best when we played as it was his first tournament in 15 months. I want to beat him when he is in top shape.”
