Mark your calendars! Yonex will be holding a “Super Match” which will be broadcasted live on 28 June 2020, at 6 pm (Seoul GMT +9 time zone). Fans can watch it through Yonex’s Youtube and Facebook accounts as well as Naver TV. The star-studded event will be held without spectators in Incheon, South Korea. Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeong Seong will participate in the event, not as partners but as opponents this time around.

The Yonex “Super Match” event will consist of three matches – a men’s singles, a women’s doubles, and a men’s doubles match. In the men’s singles match, Son Wan Ho will go up against Jeon Hyeok Jin. In women’s doubles, Kim So Yeong / Kong Hee Yong will meet Kim Hye Rin / Baek Ha Na. In the men’s doubles match, Lee Yong Dae / Kim Gi Jung will face off Yoo Yeon Seong / Choi Solgyu.

Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong were a dominating pair prior to the Rio Olympics and spent quite a considerable time as world no. 1s. They both withdrew from the national team after participating in the Rio Olympics and were no longer partners. Lee is currently teamed up with Kim Gi Jung and ranked 31 in the world right now.
