Lee Chong Wei provided clarification regarding investment news that had recently spread on the internet. There was a report which said, “Lee Chong Wei’s latest investment has experts in awe and big banks terrified.”
Lee responded to this investment news on his personal social media account saying, “Recently there are circulations around that I’ve started or recommending an investment opportunity which can transform anyone into a millionaire within 3-4 months. I would like to announce here, that has absolute no truth in it.”
Lee said he will not hesitate to take legal action against the people who “maliciously used” his name and spread the false news on the internet.
According to The Star, Lee said there is no shortcut to success and money does not come your way without hard work. He said that it took him years to become where he is now and that it did not happen overnight. He added, “How can I help others to become successful in a quick way when I had to go the distance?”
Lee added that he hopes all athletes will not seek shortcuts and stay focused on their goals. He said, “The journey of an athlete is long and challenging but keep at it – eventually, one will reap the rewards of his or her hard work.”
