Lee Chong Wei: “Players complained when tournaments were cancelled and then grumble when there are back-to-back tournaments. It’s hard to please them. They failed to understand that the world body have been in a precarious spot but have done their best to work within their limitations.”

“BWF had no choice but to run these events but the players have the choice to choose which to play in as it is not compulsory to play in all. Hosting tournaments keeps the game alive and an avenue for players to earn through prize money. If top players withdraw, then the back-up players get a chance to play and make some money. I believe it’s a win-win situation for all.”
