Former world No. 1 Srikanth Kidambi will be travelling to Denmark for the Denmark Open that is set for 13-18 October.
According to reports by the Times of India, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has accepted Kidambi’s request to travel to Denmark early for the tournament with his coach and physiotherapist.
Kidambi is one of the 11 Target Olympic Podium Scheme selected badminton players and will be receiving sponsorship from SAI for Denmark Open.
Besides Kidambi, Saina Nehwal and Lakshya Sen are also set to go to Denmark for the tournament. The Denmark Open will be the first major tournament after badminton came to a halt in March.
