World no. 1s Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon extended their unbeaten head-to-head record to 9-0 against Satwitksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty after defeating the Indians today in two straight games in the group stage match at the Olympics (Score : 21-13, 21-12).

After the match, Sukamuljo said, “We have a big advantage in the head to head record, but it doesn’t matter on the court. When we are on the court, it’s always back to 0-0 again.

“They played more tactically today as compared to our previous encounters. But we were ready for it. Shetty’s service was quite distracting, because he took a lot of time and kept twisting and turning (his body while serving), but once again we were ready.”
