World no. 1 and Japanese favourite Kento Momota has crashed out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the group stage after losing to Heo Kwanghee in straight sets with a score of 15-21, 19-21.
Momota was able to hit only a few smash winners in the match, while initial match statistics reveal that Heo Kwanghee hit more than 15 smash winners during the match.
Heo Kwanghee will receive a bye in the round of 16 and will enter straight into the quarter-finals.
