Efforts are being made to facilitate early departure of the Indonesian team from the UK without completing the 10-day quarantine as required by the NHS (National Health Service of the UK). The Indonesian Ambassador to the UK, Desra Percaya has held talks with the NHS.
In a press conference, Percaya said, “Finally I asked, ‘Can the Indonesian team go home immediately (before the 10-day quarantine period ends)?’ Verbally they said yes, it’s okay. But I don’t believe in words alone, I have asked for a written guarantee from the NHS. “
Percaya added that he would personally escort the players from the hotel to the airport and make sure they fly home safely.
