Indonesian players have taken physical and medical tests over the last two weeks to optimize their performance. The various tests include core strength test, court agility test, RAST (allergy) test, vertical jump test and bleep test among others.

Speaking on the results of the physical test of his players, men’s doubles head coach Herry IP said, “Everything is in the minimum standard that I want. But it is not enough, there is still a lot to be improved. One or two athletes could not meet the standard because of their leg problems.”

Hendra Setiawan also commented on the test he took and said, “In my opinion, this physical test is good, so I can find out where my physical strength is, especially at this age. There were no problems during the test and I am quite satisfied with the results.”
