The Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2021 (11-16 May) will be held inside a bio-secure bubble system without any spectators or news media, along with the implementation of strict protocols. A total of 228 participants from 33 countries will be participating in the tournament.

Badminton Association of India (BAI) stated, “All players and officials coming from South Africa, Brazil, Middle East and European countries including the UK will be serving a 7-day quarantine period and will have to report to the capital city on May 3… Players and officials from the rest of the world can arrive on May 6 and undergo a 4-day quarantine period.”
