The Badminton Association of India (BAI) announced the team for the upcoming Thomas and Uber Cup Finals through its official social media account. The post mentions that the “preparatory camp for the Thomas and Uber Cup has been cancelled.”

General Secretary of the BAI, Ajay Singhania said the training camp that was set to begin on 7 September would not have left enough time to train after the 14-day quarantine procedure. BWF requires teams to send the final list of the squad by 18 September.

The official statement reads, “With the SOP implemented and quarantine procedures followed, there will not be enough time to conduct a camp.”

General Secretary Singhania announced that the decision to cancel the training camp was an informed decision made in due consultation with the national head coach and five other selectors. He told TOI, “We have also selected a team that will be representing India at the Thomas & Uber Cup as well as the other two tournaments to be played in Denmark.”
