Toma Junior Popov (France) won the men’s singles title at the Orleans Masters after defeating Mads Christophersen from Denmark in the final yesterday.

Popov: “It’s just amazing to win a home tournament!… I want to thank all of you for all the support, all the messages that you sent me during this whole week and before! It helped me a lot in the tough moments to break my limits.”

Popov, competing in both the singles and the doubles category, played a total of 9 matches at the Orleans Masters, an impressive feat in itself. He also beat top favourites Srikanth Kidambi and Kunlavut Vitidsarn en route to the final.
