Denmark managed to extend their winning streak to four consecutive times at the European Mixed Team Championships 2021. They showed dominance in the biennial event without dropping a set against France and won the tie 3-0.

Coach Jakob Høi expressed relief over the victory as the players had apparently been more afraid of losing than excited about winning this year’s championships.

“We felt the pressure and we had challenges with injuries and limited resources. But now we have won and I think the players deserved it.

“Several of them had not been in difficult and decisive matches before the championship, so the performance they delivered has been really nice,” he told TV2.
