Gopichand Academy, which is also the training centre of the Indian national team, reopened after being closed for 2 days due to a Covid-19 case. Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty – all train at the academy.
PV Sindhu currently trains separately at another stadium with Park Tae Sang.
“The academy was shut for two days on Friday and Saturday after coach Arun Vishnu tested positive for Covid-19. We tested all the players who were training under him on Saturday. All of them tested negative… the academy was again operational from Tuesday,” a source in the academy said.
