After playing against Lee Zii Jia yesterday, Canada’s Brian Yang admitted that Zii Jia has what it takes to become the best men’s singles player in the world.

Yang lost the match in two straight games, 18-21 13-21.

In the post-match interview, Brian Yang said, “I think Lee is, based on how he performed today, the strongest that I’ve played in my entire career.”

“I mean he beat Kento (Momota) last week. He’s beaten him and he won All England this year. So, he can be the best in the world if he performs well and I have a lot of respect for him,” he added.

Lee Zii Jia also praised Yang after the match by saying, “He’s quite an all-round player. I’m looking forward to seeing how he will perform in future.”
