The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) has said that it will not be sending any players to the Denmark Open set for October 13-18.

Through The Star, Secretary General of BAM Kenny Goh said the trip was no longer a viable option for them because the main objective of travelling to Denmark was to play the Thomas and Uber Cup, which has now been postponed till 2021.

Goh said, “Now that the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals are off, we have decided not to go for the Denmark Open…it’s just one tournament now, with the cancellation of the Denmark Masters, it’s not worth it.”

Major Malaysian players like Lee Zii Jia, Daren Liew, Soniia Cheah, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik were among 21 players who had sent their entries for the tournament.
